Wild Turkey 10 Year Old Russells Reserve 101 Proof Clear Label
The nose is powerful and loud, with no subtlety. Strong notes of tobacco, leather, spice, ripe pears and freshly cut pine. A little vanilla sweetness (more with water added).
The palate is much the same as the nose, it’s an easy whisky to grasp but certainly NOT one dimensional. Stronger tobacco and leather spice come through very little sweetness. Quite drying with a little hint of citrus. Adding water thins it out a bit and gives a more oily mouthfeel.
Finish long without water and medium with it. Fresh tobacco leaves and dryness linger
